New cards

For those of you that came to my last card class, this is an alternate version of the card. I hope to get the original on here too but I keep forgetting to take the picture.

I used shimmery white cardstock for the focal point. The flowers are the new embossing folder, Elegant Bouquet. What i did is brayer the embossing folder on the side that has the stampin up logo with sage shadow then put my cardstock in there and ran it through the big kick. Then used the soft suede marker to color the dots. Added some ribbon and punch outs. The colors are Soft Suede, Sage Shadow and Shimmery White.

This card I made for a friend for her to send to someone that likes patchwork.
It is a retired designer series paper but you really can use anything. The squares are 1.25" and I adhered them to a piece of scrap cardstock then ran it through the big kick with the Top Note die. I used my marker on perforations to make it look like stitching. Then I ran it through the big kick inside the Finial Press embossing folder as well as the front of the card base. Then used the modern label punch and the word window punch for the greeting. With a little Ivory taffeta ribbon as the final touch. She loved it :)

Glimmer Mist is the same great product with a Fabulous NEW Look!

For those that don't know - I am addicted to Glimmer mist. I try to use it on anything I create now. They have just updated their look and adding lots of new products and colors. I can't wait for CHA to be able to see everything (I am not attending this one, but I have plans in place to attend in January)

Copied from their blog "Bet you didn’t know that ALL of the bottles of Glimmer Mist are hand labeled? Glimmer Mist is made right in a warehouse in Loveland, Co. And each bottle is mixed, bottled, and labeled by crafters. To make things easier on our staff, they have decided to change the look one last time. Their bottles will now have a screen printed label to help out their bottle crew (and to prevent them from getting Carpal Tunnel!). They bottle over 10,000 bottles a week."

I personally have over 40 colors and store them in an awesome sterilite box from Wal-Mart. They are close at hand at home and go to any crops I attend.

We (Croppin' Train) have a new shipment of about 50 colors coming in anyday now.

Check out all the colors and products at the Tattered Angels site at www.mytatteredangels.com
