This is the swap card I made for November. The stamp set is the new one, "Time Well Spent". I colored Crystal Effects using reinker then painted it on the stamped image. The flower center is So Saffron, the petals centers are Rose Red and the rest is Regal Rose. This is a neat effect is you want some shiny, raised color on your image. Like heat embossing in a way - but with all the colors SU makes.

This is a card I made for the December swap between SU demos. It uses the 1-3/8" and 1-1/4" circle punches to make the flower. The same technique as using the tag punches (tutorial on SplitCoast Stampers called "Tag Punch Stars"). I haven't tried it, but I bet you could use the oval punches too. The stem and leaves are from a set that will be in the new catty, "Time Well Spent". The words are from the "Absolutely Fabulous" set.

Niagara Falls
Back in September I took a business trip to NY. I got to see Niagara Falls. Gorgous. I love nature and it's many wonders.
Most of this picture is of the American side of the Falls, called American Falls. The falls that is the farthest away with all the mist is the Canadian side - this is the side that is in all the pictures. It is the Horseshoe shaped one, hence the name Horseshow Falls.
A Christmas card using the star punch
Well, it has been a LONG time since I last posted - sorry about that. This card using the star punch in the current catalog. In the Spring/Summer Collection that comes out in January, there is a bigger star.
I will be getting some stamp sets from the new catty on Tuesday - expect to see some new samples. Also, we will host a Customer Appreciation/Open House in January. Details to come soon

KC CK double layout

Ok, here is the double layout. On the left page we did a hidden slider photo holder. On the right we made a cut into the patterened paper for a semi hidden photo spot.
This was an SEI class and we DID actually finish in class (even though we were late)
The top picture is of the left page with the slider closed. The second picture is of the left page with the slider open. The third picture is of the right page with the hidden photo in it's slot. And the last page has the hidden photo pulled out a little.
Kansas City Creating Keepsakes Convention
Friday and Saturday I went to the KC CK Convention. The classes were great. I still need to finish some of my projects (if you have never been to one before, don't expect to finish anything in class) - so check back for more pictures. I did a total of one double layout, three single layouts and and a mini album plus we attended a Wishblade class. :)
This picture is one of the single layouts we did. It is orange and yellows. The orange flowers are felt. It was a class using the idea of being able to take 4x6 pictures and put them on your page, quick and easy. Love this layout for fall. Their class sample had cats on it but they also had one with autumn pictures - very nice.
There is a place for a title (by three flowers), a place for journaling (lower right rectangle) and a couple of journaling lines (by big, double flowers)
